Very little is known about Fredrick Daniells. He came to the Tilbury area of Essex County from Toronto. On December 31st 1915 Fredrick was initiated into Naphtali Lodge No. 413, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. In the lodge register Brother Daniells occupation is listed as Foreman. On February 22nd he was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. Shortly after becoming a Master Mason Fredrick enlisted with the Canadian Expeditonary Forces. He was assigned to the 116th Battalion of the Canadian Infantry. On June 18th 1917, at the age of 24, Brother Corporal Fredrick B. Daniells died from wounds he received in battle. He is buried at the Le Treport Military Cemetery, Leine-Maritime, France. |
